France’s champion jumps trainer is ‘jumping around’ in excitement at having his first runners at Cheltenham on Saturday. Mickael Seror will saddle two horses, Kaline Des Boullat in the Timeform Novices’ Handicap Chase and Miss Des Boullats in the JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial, and has booked Bryony Frost for both.

Frost famously landed Ryanair Chase success aboard her beloved Frodon at the Cheltenham Festival in 2019, but has been a rare sight at Prestbury Park since relocating to France to become retained rider for leading owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede’s French string in 2024. Frost has also enjoyed the support of Seror on the continent, with the Gallic handler delighted to call upon some local knowledge ahead of saddling his first runners at the home of British jumps racing.

Seror said: “Bryony knows both horses and she has won on board both of them and she knows the track well, obviously, so it’s great to have her ride.

“It’s very exciting to come to Cheltenham, I can’t hide my joy and I’m jumping around. I’ve always wanted to have runners at Cheltenham and it will be a dream come true.”

As well as ending the stranglehold Guillaume Macaire and Francois Nicolle had on the French trainers’ championship, Seror helped Frost pick up the female Golden Whip Championship for most winners by a female rider in 2025.

Seror added: “I’m happy Kaline Des Boullat is a novice and that is why she is coming to England. She has a lot of experience and she has a good handicap rating.

“For Miss Des Boullats, I’m very happy to find this race for her, but I do not think she will be 100 per cent fit right now.”

Frost will also ride Hurricane Bay for old ally Lucy Wadham in the Betfair Exchange Handicap Chase on the Cheltenham Festival Trials day card, a horse she has partnered 10 times in the past.
