An IndiGo flight, numbered 6E-2608, traveling from Delhi to Pune, triggered chaos at the airport on Thursday evening following a bomb threat. However, after thorough inspections by security agencies, no suspicious items were found on board, leading officials to label the incident as a 'hoax call.'
Details of the Incident
According to officials, the aircraft was thoroughly examined, and nothing suspicious was discovered. One official noted, 'The flight was scheduled to arrive at 8:40 PM but landed at 9:24 PM and was parked at bay number three by 9:27 PM. Subsequently, the Air Traffic Control (ATC) informed apron control about the bomb threat, and the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay.'
Immediate Response by Authorities
Apron control promptly alerted all relevant agencies and convened a meeting of the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC). An official stated that after the assessment, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted a comprehensive search of the aircraft, which yielded no suspicious findings.
Relief for Security Agencies
After all procedures were completed, the aircraft was cleared and allowed to resume normal operations. IndiGo issued a statement confirming that a security threat was detected immediately after the landing of flight 6E-2608 from Delhi to Pune.

Given the seriousness of the threat, an urgent meeting of the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was called. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was tasked with inspecting the aircraft. Officials reported, 'The BDDS team conducted a meticulous search of the aircraft. After an extensive investigation, nothing suspicious was found.' Following the completion of all security protocols, the aircraft was granted clearance and returned to normal operations.
