Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh has been declared the best state in the country for better implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme. This honor is a recognition of the effective work done in the interest of the farmers of the state.
First prize to Agriculture and Horticulture Department
For this achievement, the Agriculture and Horticulture Department of Chhattisgarh has been jointly awarded the first prize. This is the result of better coordination between both the departments and successful operation of the schemes.

The Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister have congratulated the departmental officers on this success of the state government. This award is also being considered a big achievement for the farmers, which will further strengthen the confidence of the farmers on crop insurance schemes.
Received national honor in Bengaluru
The award was presented at the 13th National Review Conference held in Bengaluru, Karnataka on 18 and 19 January 2026. On behalf of the Horticulture Department, Joint Director in-charge Shri Neeraj Shaha received this honour.
