Acharya Chanakya’s policy explains the deep truth and practical knowledge of life through simple examples. Chanakya says that every person in this world is temporary, hence one should not mourn excessively when someone passes away. This is the natural law of life and death, by understanding which a person can become mentally strong.

According to Chanakya, the biggest power in today’s time is knowledge. Just as a weak looking rabbit can defeat a lion with his intelligence, similarly a person should be strong not only physically but mentally. They also say that one should not leave one’s loved ones under any circumstances, because going away from loved ones is tantamount to unrighteousness.

Chanakya explains that the size or strength of an object is not everything. Just as lightning can break a mountain even though it is smaller, similarly intelligence and strategy can solve even the biggest problems.

According to him, only a person with curiosity and a stable mind is truly powerful. A person who is engaged only in household chores cannot attain knowledge.

Chanakya also calls greed, adultery and selfishness as the root of evil. They say that a greedy person never tells the truth and an evil person can never reform, no matter how much he is explained.

Ultimately, Acharya Chanakya’s policy teaches us that knowledge, restraint and right thinking are the keys to true success in life.
