Chelsea have reportedly made it clear they have absolutely no plans to part ways with Cole Palmer, despite recent speculation linking him with a switch to Manchester United. The Blues' and England star has been instrumental since his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City in 2023.

With the January transfer window now open, there's already been plenty of speculation about potential deals across all 20 Premier League sides - Chelsea included.

Liam Rosenior has been in charge at Chelsea for a few weeks following Enzo Maresca's exit, and the new Blues boss is now having to navigate rumours surrounding Palmer's future.

Reports have emerged suggesting Man Utd have registered their interest in bringing Palmer to Old Trafford, with the February 2 deadline now less than a fortnight away, reports the Express.

Yet it appears Chelsea are determined to keep Palmer at the club and away from their Premier League rivals. According to The Telegraph, the England international is considered "untouchable" by the Blues, meaning they wouldn't entertain any approach from another club, no matter how substantial the offer.

Palmer has been forced to deal with persistent injury concerns throughout the campaign, making just 13 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, with 12 of those coming in the Premier League.

Despite being a product of Manchester City's academy and featuring for their first team, the 23-year-old has always been a fan of the Red Devils.

Rosenior was quizzed about Palmer's future at Chelsea amid rumours that the midfielder is feeling "unsettled" at Stamford Bridge. He maintained that the England international continues to be an integral part of the squad, both now and in the future.

"I've had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems very happy to be here," Rosenior revealed earlier this week. "He's a huge part in our long-term plans.

"My job and the club's job is to get him into a situation where he can consistently perform to the level he wants to. There was frustration in the Brentford game. We need to look after him and that's why I didn't involve him in the last game."

Chelsea are set to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Whether Palmer will feature, having been rested for the Champions League victory over Pafos midweek, remains to be seen.
