A shocking incident in the US state of Minnesota has troubled people. This news is about a child being taken into custody… and it is being criticized all over the world…

For information, let us tell you that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken into custody by American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents along with his father. This incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, when Liam was returning home from school. ICE agents caught him and his father from a moving car. The agents asked the child to knock on the door of the house to find out if anyone else was in the house. The school administration called it an incident of using the child as “bait.”

Liam and his father, Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, who were admitted to the US as refugees in 2024, are currently in an immigration lockup in Dilly, Texas. The school approached family members and neighbors with an offer to keep the child, but the agents rejected it. This incident marks the fourth time in recent weeks in Minnesota where school students have been detained by ICE.

This incident has spread fear and tension in the neighborhood and school community. In recent weeks, ICE’s crackdown has intensified in Minnesota, where nearly 3,000 arrests have been made. Agents are active around schools, behind buses and in neighborhoods, increasing fear and mental stress among students.

In this case, the family’s lawyer Mark Prokosh has now talked about exploring legal options, while the Department of Homeland Security says that the child was not targeted and his safety was ensured.
