M5 traffic: Motorway closed near Exeter as two huge crashes spark delays

The M5 is closed southbound between J28 (Cullompton) and J29 (Exeter) following two separate single-vehicle collisions, which both took place around 7.30am this morning (January 25).
Police and ambulance are at the scene. Motorists are urged to follow the diversion routes now in place. Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed there were "minor injuries" after one of the collisions. The force told the Daily Express that after a separate, single-vehicle collision, one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The southbound lane has been reopened. There are no significant delays are reported on the M5 south approaching Cullompton, National Highways said in an update.
