24 Hours in Police Custody has recently returned to Channel 4 - and the documentary series is continuing to leave viewers astonished. The groundbreaking series debuted back in 2014 and instantly became a success amongst true crime enthusiasts. The programme, which focuses on investigations by Bedfordshire Police in and around Bedford and Luton, tracks officers working against the clock as they follow up on arrests for an assortment of crimes. Channel 4 records the detectives as they investigate people accused of murders, assaults and other serious offences. Viewers have hailed it "the best show ever", and Express.co.uk has listed the most shocking five episodes without giving the endings away...

For this double episode, the police listen to a recording of a woman who is scheming to have her ex-husband murdered. There are a host of twists and turns during both segments as officers are thrown into a race against the clock.
