Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg sees the broadcaster hold politicians to account as she puts them in the Hot Seat. The 49 year old revealed in an unearthed that while it's her job to question MPs and their political opponents she is not too keen be put on the spot.
The BBC's ex-political editor is one of the most recognisable faces but insisted that she never intended to be famous. She admitted that her aspirations have always been behind the camera and not in front of it.
"My dream job was being editor of Panorama. I never wanted to be on air," she told The Telegraph in 2023. "You'll never catch me wearing sparkly pants on Strictly Come Dancing, much as I love watching it."
Laura also dished on the one aspect of her job that she admittedly "hates".
The broadcaster admitted she preferred to not be interviewed by other journalists - but understands it can come with the territory working at the BBC.
She remarked: "To be honest, this bit of it [she points to my recording device] I find kind of ick. Yeah, I hate it."
By "this bit" she meant being interviewed herself, and being probed the way she often does her guests.
Laura's self-titled Sunday programme first launched in 2022.
Her most recent guest Nigel Farage was forced to pull out of the BBC's flagship politics show with Reform UK saying he's "under the weather ".
The Reform chief had been due to appear on the Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme on January 18 - days after boasting over Tory MP Robert Jenrick's defection to his party's ranks.
Laura said: "We were expecting Nigel Farage to join us this week before Reform tells us he's under the weather. So the deputy leader of Reform, Richard Tice, set his alarm early at the last minute."
