Jasprit Bumrah kicked off India's match against New Zealand with a bang, taking out Seifert on his very first delivery. He bowled a full ball at a speed of 137.1kph, compelling Seifert to play from the crease. Unfortunately for the batter, he misread the line and ended up getting beaten on the outside edge.
The ball hit the off-stump, sending Seifert back to the pavilion with just 12 runs off 11 balls, which included a single boundary. Bumrah’s early wicket set a strong tone for India’s bowling, giving the team a quick edge and applying pressure on the New Zealand batting lineup right from the get-go.
