Katie Price breaks silence on wedding saying they bought rings without meeting first

Katie Price has said she and new husband Lee Andrews bought rings for each other before they had even met - like a real-life version of TV hit Married At First Sight. She explained how they had met on social media, then got matching tattoos and then decided to buy rings for the other one.

The pair announced first their engagement and now their wedding in a move that has shocked even long-time Pricey-watchers who have become hardened to her dramatic announcements and whirlwind romances. The pair married in Dubai on Saturday afternoon in a 'quickie' ceremony thought to have been conducted just a week after they met.

Loved-up Katie, 47, told The Sun they got their matching ink and rings before seeing each other in real life, explaining: "All this without even meeting, we let fate but you could [say] destiny decide. I’m just so happy with my person that is just as happy as me. What we have, they haven’t even invented the words." Katie added that Lee would get the best version of herself.

Katie's new husband is the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel and has been living in Dubai for over 20 years. In photos published by The Sun, Katie and Lee were seen exchanging vows in matching white outfits - her in a dress with a cut-out by the stomach, him in white trousers and a beige linen shirt.

The wedding is not thought to have been attended by her family or close friends, who are thought to have been shocked by the whirlwind engagement, which has played out on Instagram.

This is the fourth time that Katie, 47, has been married. Her previous husbands are Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler and the wedding comes just weeks after her split from Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater. After news that he was engaged broke, the star - said to be "blindsided" - unfollowed her on Instagram.

She confirmed the break-up on her podcast, writing: "I don't wanna waste my time. You know, if I'm not loved up and it's not going, these are mistakes I've made in the past.

"You stay, just go along, and then it ends up getting nasty. Yeah. And I don't want that. So I'd rather have nipped it in the bud sooner rather than later. But yeah, I was there at Christmas, because, you know, the family and stuff, because it was already arranged, but it was over ages ago, really."

The Mirror has reached out to Katie Price's representative for comment.
