India Post GDS Recruitment 2026: The wait for the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment notification for 2026 is over. The Postal Department has announced the recruitment of 28,740 Gramin Dak Sevaks across the country. This includes the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in the Postal Department. Online applications can be submitted on the official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Online applications for Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment will begin on January 31, 2026. The last date to fill out the form is February 14, while the last date for payment of the application fee is February 16. The correction window for the application form will be open from February 18 to 19.
Eligibility for Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment
Candidates for Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment must have passed the 10th standard. The age limit is 18 to 40 years. Candidates will be selected based on their 10th standard marks.
Salary Details
The salary for ABPM and GDS posts is Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 24,470 per month, while the salary for BPM posts is higher, ranging from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 29,380 per month.
Application Fee
The application fee for Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment is Rs. 100 for General and OBC category candidates. However, the application is free for SC, ST, and all categories of women.
