Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026: A new recruitment drive has been announced for young people dreaming of becoming officers in the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy has started online applications for Short Service Commission Officers (SSC) - January 2027 (ST27) course for various entries from January 24th. Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply for this Indian Navy recruitment. Salary: The starting monthly salary for the post of Sub Lieutenant will be Rs. 1,25,000 along with other applicable allowances.

Eligibility to become a Navy Sub Lieutenant
Branch-wise, different qualifications are required. For the Executive Branch, a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks is required. For Pilot, a BE/BTech degree is required along with 60 percent marks in 10th and 12th standard, and also 60 percent marks in the English subject. For logistics positions, candidates with a BE/BTech/MBA/BSc/B.Com/BSc Finance/PG Diploma in Logistics/MCA/MSc (IT) can apply.

Similarly, for other positions, candidates should possess a degree such as BE/BTech/MBA/B.Com/BSc/MCA/MSc/MA/MTech, etc. Candidates holding a Certificate of Competency issued by the Ministry of Shipping and Transport, Government of India, whether Second Mate, Mate, or Master, and born between January 2, 1997, and July 1, 2007 (both dates inclusive), are eligible to apply.

Candidates holding a CPL license issued by the DGCA and born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2008, can apply for the pilot position. Candidates can check the detailed eligibility criteria in the official recruitment notification.
