At 9:55 AM on January 27, the gold contract expiring on February 5 was trading at Rs 1,58,310 on MCX, showing an increase of approximately Rs 2300 from the previous day's closing price. MCX gold reached a high of Rs 1,59,820 in early trading.

On MCX, the silver contract expiring on March 5, 2026, was trading at Rs 3,56,661 (per kg), showing an increase of approximately Rs 21,000 from the previous day's closing price.
