At 10:00 AM on January 29, the gold contract expiring on February 5 was trading at ₹1,80,300 on MCX, showing a surge of approximately ₹14,300 from the previous day's closing price. MCX gold reached a high of ₹1,80,501 in early trading.

The silver contract expiring on March 5, 2026, on MCX was trading at ₹4,04,879 (per kg), showing a surge of approximately ₹19,500 from the previous day's closing price.
