FIR Against Ranveer Singh: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is in the headlines for the movie Dhurandhar. An FIR has been registered against him in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Ranveer Singh is accused of hurting religious sentiments. The complainant told that Ranveer Singh gave strange expressions while joking on the public platform and described it as the divine tradition shown in the film Kantara. Due to which the religious sentiments of the people of the society have been hurt. The case in which Ranveer Singh has been accused is from Goa.

What did the complainant say?

Complainant Prashant Methil (46) has accused actor Ranveer Singh of hurting religious sentiments. It was told in the complaint that calling a deity a ghost is highly condemnable, it is against religious beliefs. Ranveer Singh made such comments from the open stage, after which there is a lot of anger and sadness among the devotees. The complainant said that Ranveer Singh has deliberately committed this act on the international stage, even though he knew that it could hurt people’s sentiments and disturb social harmony. He has called Chavundi Daiva a ‘female ghost’. At present, the police have registered a case and assured action.

According to media reports, this FIR was registered on Wednesday, in which the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACJM) court has ordered the police to investigate on the complaint of Bengaluru lawyer Prashant Methal. Police have registered an FIR in this case under sections 196, 299 and 302 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). In which Ranveer Singh is accused of making fun of Karnataka’s religious tradition ‘Bhoot Kola’.
