Aamir Khan got the film
Shahrukh Khan has grown up watching Amitabh Bachchan’s films. When Shahrukh debuted in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan was the biggest star. Someone wanted to work with him. At that time, Shahrukh also got an offer to work in a film with Amitabh, but due to compulsion, Shahrukh could not say yes to that film. After this the film went to Aamir Khan. Shahrukh refused due to lack of dates
In the 90s, director Indra Kumar was going to make a film with Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Amitabh Bachchan. The film was to be made under the production house of Amitabh Bachchan. In an interview, Shahrukh had told that he was going to work in the film and he had a long discussion with Amitabh Bachchan on this, but due to lack of dates, Shahrukh had backed out.
Work on the picture could not start
When Shahrukh distanced himself from the film, then Aamir Khan entered it. Now the film was going to be made with Amitabh, Madhuri and Aamir, but work on the picture could not start and it got canned. With this, Aamir’s dream of working with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan was also shattered. But, years later, he shared the screen with Amitabh in Thugs of Hindostan (2018). Whereas Shahrukh and Amitabh have been seen together in films like Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
