During a conversation with Ranveer Allahabadia, Imran said, “The hardest time in my life was when my son fell ill in 2014. And I can’t even describe that time in words. It lasted for five years. That afternoon incident changed my life.” He said that.

The actor’s world changed in 12 hours
“On January 13, we went out for brunch. We were eating pizza with our son, when the first symptom appeared. He had blood in his urine. Within the next three hours, we reached the doctor’s clinic. The doctor said, ‘Your son has cancer. He will have to be operated on tomorrow and then start chemotherapy.’ My whole world turned upside down in just 12 hours.” Said the actor.
Emraan Hashmi said that the reason that time was more difficult was because life was starting to feel normal and stable once again. Everything seemed to be going smoothly and well, but suddenly everything changed. The actor added, “It felt like a golden age had begun in life. It felt like everything was finally coming together. I felt like I was in control of my life. But suddenly there’s a big shock and everything turns upside down. It can happen at any time.” He said that.

Imran’s life changed in five years
Imran said that for the next five years his life was spent going to the hospital, receiving various treatments and being in constant worry. That time taught him what is really important in life. This experience inspired him to write a book to support parents going through similar situations. Today his son is completely healthy and has recovered. So Imran considers that period as the most difficult phase of his life.
