India-Bangladesh diplomatic tension, spat over non-family posting and security concerns

The Government of India has decided to recall the families of its diplomats posted in Bangladesh citing security reasons, which the interim government of Bangladesh has termed as “unnecessary”. This means: Now Indian officers serving in Bangladesh will have to live without their spouses or children. Comparison: India usually keeps such a system only for high-risk countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Current situation: Dhaka-based High Commission and four other commerce More than a dozen families have returned to India from embassies (Khulna, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Sylhet).2.
