JEE Advanced 2026 on May 17th
The schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 has been released. This time, IIT Roorkee is conducting JEE Advanced. According to the released schedule, JEE Advanced will be held on May 17, 2026. There will be two papers. Paper 1 will be from 9 AM to 12 PM, while Paper 2 will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
2.50 Lakh Candidates Appear for JEE Advanced
Only the top-scoring candidates in JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The top 2.50 lakh candidates from both sessions of JEE Main get the opportunity to appear for JEE Advanced. Of these, only the top 25,000 candidates get admission to IITs and NITs.
Admission to IISc through JoSAA Counselling
IISc Bangalore has decided to offer admissions based on JEE Advanced scores. Candidates will be able to participate in JoSAA counselling 2026 to secure admission to the B.Tech program at IISc Bangalore. In fact, admission to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and more than 47 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) is done through JoSAA counseling, and now IISc Bangalore has also been added to this list.
