Angel and Dick Strawbridge received an outpouring of support from fans following a heartwarming joint announcement.

The beloved pair rose to prominence through their hit Channel 4 programme Escape to the Chateau back in 2016. The series documented the transformation of their stunning French chateau and the exclusive events business they operated from the property.

Beyond the programme, which came to an end in 2022, Dick and Angel are parents to two children: son Arthur and daughter Dorothy. Dick is also father to James and Charlotte from his first marriage to Brigit.

And this week, there was cause for celebration as Dick and Angel's son Arthur reached his 13th birthday. The pair posted on their Instagram account, sharing touching photographs of Arthur spanning the years - including images from his infancy.

In one photograph, an adoring Dick could be seen cradling his newborn son, whilst another image showed the couple posing with baby Arthur. In the accompanying message, they penned: "Happy 13th Birthday to our darling heart, Arthur!", reports the Mirror.

"It may be a cliche to say that every stage of a child growing up is just as good as the next, but looking back through our photos and remembering the love and the cheeky giggles, reminds us how true that really is!" They continued: "It's hard to believe that 13 years ago this gentle soul came into our world.

"Arthur still loves hearing the story of his arrival and how mummy and daddy nipped out for a curry in Whitechapel, London, during the early stages of his birth and now 13 years later, this smart, funny, curious, and kind young man found himself heading back to where it all began.

"Last weekend we visited East London to see our friends and celebrate our boy officially becoming a teenager. No prizes for working out that this is Arthur's leopard-print era Happy Birthday Arthur! Thanks for being you."

Supporters rushed to the comments section to express their delight over the post, with one remarking: "Oh my goodness! So tall and grown-up looking! The little boy look is now a young man."

Another commented: "Congratulations, what a credit he is to both of you and of course himself." A third contributed: "Happy birthday Arthur can't believe you're 13."

This follows Dick and Angel revealing the thrilling news that they've resumed recording their podcast, Chateau Studio. Announcing the update on Instagram, they posted: "After a little break from the world of podcasting, we're back in the 'Chateau Studio' tomorrow recording and filming our brand-new podcast!".

"Yes, that's right...you wanted to see more of us so we are now filming the full episode! ! We can't lie...it honestly feels like having a date with each other and with you."
