Delhi Police : A deeply distressing case has come to light from Delhi’s Shastri Park area, where a 12-year-old student studying in Class 7 was found dead under violent circumstances. Police say the child was allegedly killed by his stepfather, triggering widespread concern among residents and prompting an intensive investigation. Upon arrival, the police team found the child lying unconscious. He was rushed to JPC Hospital in an attempt to save his life, but doctors declared him brought dead.

After confirmation of death, the body was transferred to the mortuary at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Mother Recounts Prior Threats

The victim’s mother, Mumtaz, told investigators that she had received threats from the accused prior to the incident. She stated that the stepfather had warned her that harm would come to her child if she did not comply with his demands. According to her account, she initially believed the threat was not serious. She later alleged that after the children left for school, her son was taken away by the accused. She said she was later informed of the killing by the accused himself.

The child’s elder brother, Aman, said the family became aware of the situation early in the morning. He claimed the incident had occurred several hours earlier and that images were sent to family members as confirmation. Police are examining digital evidence, including messages and media files, to establish a clear timeline and verify these claims.

A formal case has been registered at the Shastri Park police station under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Authorities confirmed that suspects have been detained for questioning as part of the ongoing probe.
