Rani Mukerji’s cop action-drama Mardaani 3 arrived in theatres today and the reviews have started pouring in. Social media users, who have watched it, are sharing their honest opinions about Rani’s third film in the Mardaani franchise. 12 years ago, Rani Mukerji delivered the country’s female-led cop action-drama Mardaani (2014) which soon turned into a successful franchise. Its second counterpart Mardaani 2 came after 5 years in 2019 which became a moderate success. Six years later, Rani is back with the third film in the series, Mardaani 3 which released today.

As the film’s opening day progresses, social media users have been posting their verdicts about the movie and so far it looks promising.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh reviewed Mardaani 3 in one word, calling it “powerful”. Many X users agreed with Adarsh’s review and praised Abhiraj Minawala’s directorial. Netizens said Rani Mukerji and Mallika Prasad’s performances were the highlights of Mardaani 3. They also said that it could be Rani’s strongest performance in the franchise so far.

A review also called the film “paisa wasool”. It also said Mukerji carries the film on her shoulders. Other reviews said that the film’s focus on the core subject is on point.

Many reviews also suggested that although the first half felt a bit slow, it does a great job in building the characters and setting the tone of the film. The second half becomes more engaging and picks up in pace.
