Kanpur. The shining trophy of the T20 World Cup, which is on tour to India, will reach KDMA, the Kanpur-based school of the Indian team’s chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav, on Saturday. However, on this occasion, apart from Kuldeep himself and his coach Kapil Pandey, officials of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) will be missed.
These days, Kuldeep is busy in the T20 series against New Zealand and will be in Thiruvananthapuram for the fifth and final match of the series to be played on Saturday, while the name of the bowler’s regular coach Kapil Pandey is not in the guest list of KDMA, which has been confirmed by Kapil himself to Univarta.
KDMA Chairman Sanjay Kapoor while talking to Univarta said that all preparations have been completed to welcome the trophy. All the promising young players and students of the academy will be present on this occasion. Kuldeep’s father will be honored on this occasion. After all he is also a part of the KDMA family. T20 Trophy will encourage young talents towards the game. Undoubtedly this will be an exciting opportunity for the entire family.
Apart from Kanpur Cricket Association, Dr. Kapoor is also the chairman of UP T20 League. Kapil said, “I have not been invited to the program. I have no regrets about it. It is a matter of satisfaction for a coach that his child does well. Kuldeep is playing the role of an important bowler in the Indian team and his consistency in the World Cup will also help India win the World Cup. It is also true that Kuldeep had taken admission in KDMA only on his advice. Apart from this, many players who were students of KDMA including Faiz Ahmed, Rishabh Mishra and Satyam Dixit are also in his academy. Have received training.”
On the other hand, UPCA Secretary Prem Manohar Gupta said while talking to Univarta that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has signed a contract with an agency for the trophy tour, under which the trophy will be taken to the school of every player selected in the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, UPCA does not have any official information about the Trophy Tour. UPCA officials are out of the city for a meeting, hence they will not be present on this occasion.
