Gujarat Giants achieved a major feat in the history of the Women’s Premier League by finally registering their first win against Mumbai Indians. In this high-voltage match played at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara, Gujarat defeated Mumbai by 11 runs and broke the losing streak against the team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. Earlier, since the beginning of WPL, Mumbai Indians’ record against Gujarat was 8-0.

However, mathematically, Mumbai Indians’ hopes of reaching the eliminator are not over yet. Now their fate will largely depend on the last league match between UP Warriors and Delhi Capitals.
To reach the eliminator, Mumbai will have to hope that UP Warriors defeat Delhi Capitals, but the margin of victory should not be very big. If the UP team beats Delhi by a small margin, say within 10 to 20 runs, then Mumbai may get a chance to play the eliminator against Gujarat Giants. At the same time, if Delhi wins this match then Mumbai Indians will be directly out of the tournament.

Even in bowling, Gujarat took wickets at regular intervals and kept Mumbai under constant pressure.
