Bharat Dynamics Limited has reported a weak set of financial results for the third quarter, with sharp year-on-year declines across profitability, revenue, and operating margins. The performance reflects slower execution, lower operating leverage, and pressure on costs during the quarter.

For Q3, Bharat Dynamics’ net profit fell 50.3% to ₹73 crore compared with ₹147 crore in the same period last year. The steep decline in bottom-line performance came largely due to lower revenues and a significant contraction in operating margins.

Revenue from operations dropped 32% year-on-year to ₹566.6 crore, down from ₹832 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The muted topline growth indicates delays in project execution and softer order inflows during the period, a common challenge for defence public sector undertakings with lumpy order cycles.

Operating performance weakened substantially as EBITDA declined 79.5% year-on-year to ₹26 crore, compared with ₹127 crore in Q3 of the previous year. As a result, EBITDA margin contracted sharply to 4.6% from 15.3% a year ago.

Alongside the quarterly results, Bharat Dynamics’ Board declared an interim dividend of ₹4.5 per equity share, with a face value of ₹5 per share, for the financial year 2025–26. The company has fixed 9 February 2026 as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for the dividend payout.
