Relief news has come from NTA for the students preparing for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date of application. Now candidates can register for CUET (UG) 2026 till 4th February 2026. At the same time, the last date for depositing the exam fees has been fixed as 7 February 2026. The application process has been released on the official website cuet.nta.nic.in.
Let us tell you that this decision has been taken in view of the demand of those students who could not apply on time due to technical problems or other reasons. NTA had received requests from a large number of candidates to extend the application date.
Why did NTA take this decision?
The public notice issued by NTA states that keeping in mind the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to extend the last date for online application of CUET UG 2026, so that no eligible student is deprived of the examination.
Correction window will open for three days
According to the new notification, the correction window to make corrections in the application form will be opened from 9 February 2026. Candidates will be able to make necessary changes in their application form till 11 February 2026.
Who can apply
Candidates applying for CUET UG 2026 must have passed class 12th from a recognized central or state board. Additionally, candidates who have passed Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination from a recognized university or board are also eligible to apply. Higher Secondary Certificate (Vocational) examination passed candidates can also apply for CUET UG 2026.

Click on CUET UG 2026 Application link on the homepage.
Register on the new page and log in.
Fill the application form and pay the prescribed fee.
After submitting the form, download the confirmation page and keep its printout safe.
The exam will be held between 11th and 31st May
According to NTA, CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted from May 11 to May 31, 2026. This examination will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates will be able to take the exam in 13 different languages.

Apart from this, your problem can also be registered through e-mail at cuet-ug@nta.ac.in.
