Joao Gomes latest

United remain linked with a potential swoop for Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes as the January transfer window approaches its climax. TEAMtalk has reported that United are considering whether to launch a bid for Gomes ahead of Monday's deadline.

Nevertheless, whilst United maintain their interest in securing Gomes' signature, the report suggests that any transfer is unlikely to materialise until the summer at the very earliest.

Recent speculation has indicated that Wolves are seeking around £43million (€50million) for Gomes.

Zirkzee targeted

Joshua Zirkzee is once more being linked with a potential departure from United before the transfer window shuts.

Tuttosport has reported that Juventus have now shown interest in acquiring Zirkzee's services prior to Monday's deadline.

It's been suggested that Juve are keen to recruit a striker before the window closes, and with their primary target Randal Kolo Muani appearing increasingly likely to stay at Tottenham Hotspur, Zirkzee has emerged as their preferred alternative.

The report further states that, should Zirkzee join Juventus, it would be via a loan arrangement until the end of the season. But United do not want to let the forward leave this late in the window.
