Stock Market Open Sunday: Stock market is important news for investors and traders. BSE and NSE will remain open tomorrow, Sunday, February 1, on the occasion of Union Budget 2026.

Usually the stock market is closed on Sundays, but to see the immediate market reaction to the big announcements on the budget day, the exchange has decided to keep a whole day trading session.

Trading Times and Official Information

According to the circular issued by NSE, trading timings on February 1 will remain the same as normal days. The market will open at 9:15 am and close at 3:30 pm. This decision has been taken so that investors can immediately make their trading strategy based on the budget announcements.

There has been a tradition of opening the stock market on the budget day also. Earlier in 2015, 2020 and 2025 also the market was open on the budget day.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the ninth budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present her ninth consecutive budget in the Lok Sabha tomorrow at 11:00 am. This is included in the record for presenting the budget without any interruption for a long time for any finance minister.

Complete details of the government’s income, expenditure, revenue estimates and new schemes for the coming financial year will be given in the budget.

Economic survey came before the budget

Before the budget, Economic Survey 2026 was released on 29 January. The Finance Ministry has finalized all the documents to the budget.

The economic survey has focused on the country’s GDP growth, fiscal deficit targets and investment plans. Tomorrow is going to be very important not only for the economic policies of the government but also for deciding the direction of the stock market.
