IAS Success Story: It is often believed that after a whole day’s work, there is neither time nor energy left for studies, but those who have the passion to change their destiny, find a way in every situation. Shweta Bharti accepted the challenge of a difficult exam like UPSC, in which it is advised to study for 10-12 hours a day and yet there is no guarantee of success.
Despite working 9 hours a day, he maintained his focus on studies and ultimately set an example by passing the UPSC exam.
It was not easy to balance office and studies
Office pressure, daily travel, home responsibilities and then UPSC preparation – it was not easy to handle all this together. Despite fatigue and lack of time, Shweta did not give up. He did what many people dream of doing but are unable to do because of the fear of the circumstances. His story is an inspiration for those youth who postpone their dreams due to circumstances.
The journey started from Nalanda, Bihar
Shweta Bharti is a resident of Nalanda district of Bihar. His early education was from a school in Patna. After this he completed his engineering studies from Bhagalpur. During his college days, the dream of joining civil services was born in his mind, which later transformed into preparation for UPSC.
Couldn’t leave job due to responsibilities
After engineering, Shweta started working in Wipro company. While working, he decided to prepare for UPSC, but due to family responsibilities, it was not possible for him to leave the job. In such a situation, he decided to study along with the job. Office during the day and studying from evening till late night – this became his daily routine.
Maintained distance from social media and increased focus
To avoid distraction while studying, Shweta distanced herself from social media. She managed her time well and continued to work hard by maintaining a balance between work and studies. This discipline and dedication became his biggest strength.
Journey from BPSC to UPSC
Before UPSC, Shweta also gave BPSC exam, in which she got success. She secured 65th rank in the 65th BPSC examination and was selected for the post of District Program Officer. Despite this, she did not give up her preparation and kept moving forward.
In the year 2021, Shweta Bharti passed the UPSC exam and achieved 356th rank and fulfilled her dream.
