Budget 2026: In the Union Budget 2026, the government has taken a major step to promote the creative industry. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that content creator labs will be established in 15,000 schools and 500 colleges across the country. The aim is to strengthen the orange economy and connect young people with modern digital skills.
Government Focus on the AVGC Sector
During her budget speech, the Finance Minister stated that India's Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector is expanding rapidly. Skill Development and Job Preparedness
These labs will teach students modern skills such as content creation, digital storytelling, game design, and visual technologies. The government believes that this will provide young people with new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship alongside their studies.
