Since last few months, the news of Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s wedding has been going around. Vijay’s team reportedly told Hindustan Times that both the actors are now engaged. Sources also suggested that Rashmika and Vijay are set to tie the knot in Udaipur on February 26, 2026. However, they never made their relationship public.
Recently, two social media users, who were visiting Udaipur Palace, shot a video of what looked like prep for a grand wedding and claimed that it was for Rashmika and Vijay’s upcoming nuptials. They claimed that they verified the details with the palace's staff, who confirmed that the star couple is getting married at the City Palace on February 2, 2026, instead of the rumoured date.
While fans expressed their excitement in the comment section, many also called the two Instagram users out for invading privacy and leaking information about someone’s private life.
A comment read, “Pls delete, no matter this is true or false”
Another read, “If it's true, why are u guys leaking info and taking Vijay's name this way... Weird”
One more user wrote, “Isn’t that invasion of privacy?”
One social media user said, “Why would you guys do this?? Super disrespectful”
A comment from Rashmika’s fan page said, “hi, we understand that everyone is super excited about the wedding and all and even if internal sources have confirmed this, it’s not nice to reveal their exact wedding location before the wedding. kindly take this video down 🙏”
Even though Rashmika and Vijay have been hush-hush about their engagement, the actress, during a recent promotional event, subtly confirmed the news. She said, “Everyone is aware of it.”
In another interview with Galatta Plus, Rashmika was congratulated for her perfume line. The interviewer went on to jokingly ask her if there was something else to celebrate, indirectly referring to the engagement rumours.
Rashmika laughed and said, “No, no,” and added, “Actually, there's quite a lot, because so many things are happening. But I'll take your congratulations on all of them.”
Recently, sources close to the couple confirmed to a media publication that they got engaged in a private ceremony on October 3, 2025. Rashmika and Vijay starred together in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
