New Delhi: Vipul Amritlal Shah is one of those Bollywood directors and producers whose films are based on strong stories and social issues. His films like Aankhen, Namaste London, Singh is King, Force and Commando have left a deep impact on the audience. ‘The Kerala Story’, released in 2023, also made a lot of headlines. This film has won two National Awards and is counted among the most influential and popular films of recent years.
Now Vipul Shah is taking this story forward with ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’, which promises to be deeper, darker and emotionally shocking than before.
Pain and fear hidden in character posters
Before the release of the film, the makers have released character posters of the lead female characters. The faces of Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha and Aditi Bhatia are shown in these posters. In each poster, half of the face is covered with a burqa, while the other half appears to be full of injuries, scratches and tears.
Deep pain and fear are clearly visible in one eye. These images are very emotional and scary, which show how difficult and terrible the characters in the film go through. The posters have garnered instant attention on social media and have generated curiosity among the audience.
New twist and theme of the story
The film focuses on the lives of three Hindu girls whose lives are turned upside down when they fall in love with three Muslim boys. Gradually these relationships turn towards fear, trauma and a deliberate conspiracy of religious conversion. After the success of the first film, this sequel takes the story further, where the harsh aspects of reality will be shown by going out of the comfort zone.
This film has been directed by National Award winner Kamakhya Narayan Singh. The film has been produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah and co-produced by Ashish A Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures.
The Kerala Story 2 Release Date
‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ will be released in theaters on 27 February 2026. Like the first part, this film will also become the center of controversy and discussion. It is clear from the posters that this will not be just a story, but will touch emotions and deep issues of society. The audience is now waiting to see whether this sequel will make more impact than the first or not.
