India gave Pakistan a target of 253 runs, to qualify for the semi-finals, Pakistan will have to achieve the target of 33.4 overs.

New Delhi. Thanks to an important partnership between Kanishk Chauhan and Khilan Patel, including a half century by Vedant Trivedi, India scored 252 runs against Pakistan in the ICC U19 World Cup. Pakistan has got the target of 253 runs to win. Pakistan needs to score 253 runs in 33.4 overs to qualify for the semi-finals.

Openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Aaron George, who came to bat first, gave a good start to India. He scored 24 runs in three overs without losing any wicket. However, Mohammed Syam gave Pakistan the first breakthrough when he dismissed Suryavanshi in the eighth over for 30 off 22 balls, which included five fours and a six. Syam got his second wicket in the same over when he dismissed captain Ayush Mhatre for a duck in two balls. India lost two wickets for just 47 runs. Fast bowler Abdul Subhan clean bowled George on the personal score of 16 runs. India scored 49 runs losing three wickets in ten overs. Vedant Trivedi and Vihaan Malhotra took over India’s innings and took the score to 85 by the end of the 17th over. India crossed the 200-run mark in the 44th over. In the end, with the help of an important 50-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Khilan Patel and Kanishk Chauhan, India was able to cross the 250-run mark. Khilan Patel scored 21 runs in 15 balls, which included two fours and a six. Kanishka was out after scoring 35 runs in 29 balls, which included four fours and a six. India was all out for 252 runs in 49.5 overs. Bowling for Pakistan, Abdul Subhan took three wickets for 33 runs and Mohammad Syam took two wickets. Whereas Ali Raza, Ahmed Hussain, Momin Qamar and Ali Hasan Baloch took one wicket each.
