Indian Under-19 team beat Pakistan by 54 Runs: The much-awaited match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 was played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. In this match held on 1 February, the Indian Under-19 team completely dominated the Pakistan Under-19 team and registered a spectacular victory. India won this match by 58 runs. However, before this match, Pakistan was already out of the race for the semi-finals, while India had already made it to the last four.

There was great pressure on Pakistan

In this match, Pakistan needed to achieve the target of 253 runs in 33.3 overs to keep their hopes of semi-finals alive. This target was not easy, but Pakistan had a good start. At one time the team seemed to be in the contest at 151 runs with the loss of only three wickets. At this juncture the course of the match completely changed. The sequence of wickets falling started such that Pakistani batting could not hold on and the entire team was reduced to 198 runs.

India displayed balanced batting

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian team, batting first, scored 252 runs in 49.5 overs and was all out. For India, Vedant Trivedi played the most useful inning of 68 runs. Kanishk Chauhan contributed 35 runs, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 30 runs. Indian batsmen added runs responsibly in the middle order, which allowed the team to reach a strong score. Abdul Subhan was the most successful bowler for Pakistan, taking three wickets. Mohammad Syam got two wickets, while Ali Raza, Ahmed Hussain, Momin Qamar and Ali Hasan Baloch took one wicket each.

Great comeback by Indian bowlers

Chasing the target, Pakistan had a good start and for some time the match seemed to be going in their favor. But the Indian bowlers made a strong comeback showing excellent discipline and aggression. Pakistan’s last seven wickets fell within just 43 runs. The entire team was all out after scoring 194 runs in 46.2 overs. For India, Khilan Patel and Ayush Mhatre took three wickets each. Apart from this, RS Ambrish, Henil Patel, Kanishk Chauhan and Vihaan Malhotra got one success each.

With this victory, the Indian team expressed its strong intentions in the tournament. A balanced performance in both the batting and bowling departments has given India extra confidence ahead of the semi-finals, while for Pakistan the defeat proved to be a disappointing end to the campaign.
