WPL 2026, DC vs UPW: In the 20th match of Women’s Premier League 2026, Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriors by 5 wickets and booked their place in the Eliminator. Batting first in this exciting match played at Vadodara, UP Warriors scored 122 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, Delhi won the match by 126 runs in 18.4 overs. With this win, Delhi sealed their place in the eliminators. In this match, Delhi captain Jemima Rodríguez scored a brilliant knock of 34 not out, while in the bowling, Marijanen Kap took the most 3 wickets.

Poor batting by UP Warriors

In this match, UP Warriors got off to a disappointing start as they lost the toss and elected to bat first, losing captain Meg Lanning for no runs on the very first ball. Charlie Knott then tried to stabilize the innings by putting on a 29-run partnership with Deepti Sharma for the second wicket. Knott returned to the pavilion with 12 runs off 12 balls, including two fours. Deepti Sharma was then dismissed for 24 runs off 19 balls, which included a six and four fours.

Finally, Simran Sheikh scored 22 runs off 14 balls with 3 fours and Asha Joy also contributed 13 runs. Uttar Pradesh’s batting failed miserably in this match and the team managed to score only 122 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Marijanen Kap took the most 3 wickets from Delhi Capitals. Apart from her, Chinel Henry and Sri Charani took 2 wickets each.

Meanwhile, target-chasing Delhi Capitals also got off to a poor start. Wicket-keeper-batsman Lizel Lee was dismissed for 11 runs. Shafali Verma and Laura Wolvaard then put on a brilliant 73-run stand for the second wicket to bring Delhi closer to victory. Shafali was dismissed for 29 off 33 balls, while Laura Wolvaard played a crucial knock of 47 off 36 balls, which included 7 fours.

Finally, captain Jemima Rodríguez took charge and her brilliant batting led the team to victory. Jemima scored an unbeaten 34 off 18 balls with five fours and Delhi scored 126 for 5 in 18.4 overs. With this win, Delhi sealed their place in the eliminators. Delhi won four out of eight group stage matches and entered the eliminators with eight points. This is the fourth consecutive playoff berth.
