Fans of Good Morning Britain were outraged on Tuesday as presenters Ed Balls and Susanna Reid kept making the same "mistake". They had been reporting on how the Met police is reviewing reports of "alleged misconduct in a public office" following claims Lord Peter Mandelson may have leaked sensitive information to Jeffrey Epstein, when Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was mentioned a few times.
However, the former royal, who was stripped of his titles, kept being referred to as Prince Andrew during the report - and fans were not happy. Taking to X/Twitter, one fan complained: "@GMB Susanna keeps calling Andrew Prince Andrew. Not cool." Another echoed: "@GMB Why does @susannareid100 keep referring to Andrew Mountbatten Windsor as Prince? He is a commoner. Who is a disgrace after being tangled up with a convicted paedophile for years and denies any wrong doing." Meanwhile, a third fumed: "Stop calling him Prince Andrew, he isn't anymore #GMB." And one more added: "@GMB Insist on calling Andrew 'former prince' #GMB #Andrew"
Prince Andrew was formally stripped of his Prince title, HRH style, and other royal honors by King Charles in late 2025.
Since the King's decision, he has been known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The change also meant that Andrew was forced to move from his Royal Lodge home to a smaller Sandringham property.
The decision came due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein. As well as that, Virginia Giufrre also filed a civil lawsuit against Andrew, claiming he sexually abused her as a teenager.
The case never went to court after they reached a £12million settlement. Andrew denies all allegations against him.
However, on Friday, the US Justice Department released millions of files related to the case of late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
It unveiled further shocking communications with Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
The latest release included pictures featuring what appears to be Andrew on his hands and knees, leaning over a woman on the floor, whose identity remained concealed.
