New Delhi: Amid the glitz of sequins, tuxedos, and sparkling gowns at the Grammys in Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, one shadowy figure stole the spotlight.

Cloaked head-to-toe in black, with a reflective mask hiding his face, he sparked wild guesses across social media. Who was this mystery man who turned heads and won big?

French producer Gesaffelstein shows up in mystery man’s look at Grammy

French producer Gesaffelstein, real name Mike Lévy, made jaws drop on the red carpet. He ditched smiles and poses for a sleek black suit, gloves, and a full-face mask that created a bold, all-black look. This striking style went viral right away, becoming the talk of the night.

Fans online buzzed with excitement and debate. One X user posted, “Can’t even rate it coz this is the look/moment everybody will remember forever from these Grammys.” Another called it “pure art.” But not everyone agreed—one commenter asked, “Why do they have to dress so bizarre?? It’s not a costume party.”  French Producer Gesaffelstein Wins First Grammy, Silently Accepts Best Remixed Recording.

The intrigue peaked when Gesaffelstein grabbed his first Grammy for Best Remixed Recording (Non-Classical). He won for his remix of Lady Gaga’s Abracadabra, accepting it without a word. This mix highlights his dark, industrial electronic sound. He also played a big role in Gaga’s 2025 album Mayhem, co-writing tracks, producing, and featuring on Killah.

Gesaffelstein, from France, has shaped electronic music since 2008. He started his own label and is known for moody, movie-like beats. Stars like Kanye West, The Weeknd, and Daft Punk have worked with him, but he always keeps a mysterious vibe. His Grammy win and masked entrance cement him as a standout at the 2026 Grammys.
