Union Budget 2026 LIVE Updates: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman (Nirmala Sitharaman) Full budget for the ninth consecutive time today i.e. on 1 February 2026 (Union Budget 2026-27) Going to present. This is the second time in history that the budget is being presented on a Sunday.
While presenting the budget, Finance Minister Sitharaman outlined three duties of the Modi government before the country. Finance Minister Sitharaman said that Prime Minister Modi’s focus is on bringing forward the backward and deprived people. While presenting this budget in Dutva Bhawan, three duties have been fixed.

emphasis on biopharma power
The Finance Minister said that Biopharma is a strategy to improve healthcare through knowledge, technology and innovation. Its objective is to develop India as a global biopharma manufacturing hub. Biopharma Shakti launched with an outlay of Rs 10 thousand crore for the next five years.
Finance Minister said- 40 thousand crores will be given for electronic equipment.
1000 recognized clinical sites will be created, where scientific reviews can be conducted. Semiconductor Mission – Provision has been made for production and creation of Indian IP and supply chain. A provision of Rs 40 thousand crore has been made for making electronic equipment. Initiative has been taken to create dedicated facilities for rare earth materials in Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. Dedicated mineral parks will be created for this. High tech tool rooms will be built at two locations to make high precision components – from tunnel boring machines to fire fighting systems in multi stories.
