Speaking to former cricketer and commentator Mohammed Kaif, Salman recreated the pose from the teaser—holding the bat like a weapon—and humorously responded to critics who described his intense, smiling look as “romantic” or out of place in a military environment. He said: “Now someone understands that this is a romantic look. But I am a colonel, brother. So this is the look of a colonel, who understands how to encourage his soldiers. I can give that look to him too (growling). There is no meaning in that look. It has been like this, it will continue like this.”
The teaser, released on December 27, 2025 (Salman’s 60th birthday), features him as Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, who was martyred while defending Indian territory during the 2020 Galwan Valley clash with China. It features high mountain terrain, cold weather and battle sequences, emphasizing restraint and determination amid LAC tensions.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film stars Chitrangada Singh opposite Salman, and is scheduled to release on April 17, 2026. Made under the banner of Salman Khan Films, this film is based on real events, in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred.
The reply showcases Salman’s signature humor as he silenced the trolls and defended his cool leadership character to motivate the soldiers. This film is in the news as a patriotic tribute to the heroes of Galwan.
