Musk is offering jobs to experienced writers to make his Artificial Intelligence (AI) ‘Grok’ more effective. According to the recently released job list, the company wants to recruit experts from various fields like medical, legal and journalism to further improve AI. An attractive salary of 40 to 125 dollars (approximately ₹ 3,300 to ₹ 10,400) per hour will be given for this work.

XAI aims to train ‘Grok’ in different writing styles, making it more intelligent. This is a chatbot, which has been in the news in the last one year due to many controversies. Grok is accused of promoting racism and even praising Hitler and supporting the Holocaust. Apart from this, cases of making deepfakes (fake pornographic content) by Grok have also come to light, due to which countries like Indonesia and Philippines have banned it completely.

What are the terms and conditions of employment?
The requirements for this job are quite high. For example, it is mandatory for a fiction writer to have a contract with a reputable publication or to have sold more than 50,000 copies of their novel. Additionally, if a writer has had more than 10 stories published in major publications like The New Yorker or has been a finalist for major literary awards like the Hugo and Nebula, he or she will be considered eligible for this designation. Additionally, they must have at least nominations for prestigious awards like an Oscar or an Emmy.
