Naukri Nama | February 3, 2026 2:40 PM CST

Important Announcement: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced a significant change regarding the Intermediate practical examinations. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has confirmed that the deadline for the first phase of practical exams has been extended from February 1 to February 4, 2026. This decision offers relief to numerous students who were unable to take the UP Board practical exam within the original timeframe.

This extension applies specifically to students in the Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Faizabad (Ayodhya), Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti divisions. The Board Secretary has emphasized that no further extensions will be granted. Students who missed their exams should promptly reach out to their respective schools to ensure their practical marks are submitted to the board's portal on time.

A 'Golden Opportunity' for Students in Ten Divisions
The initial schedule for the UP Board practical examinations was set to conclude on February 1. However, due to technical issues and adverse weather conditions in certain regions, the board has decided to extend the deadline by three days. Students across ten divisions, including key educational hubs like Agra, Lucknow, and Ayodhya, can now complete their practical exams by February 4. This extension is particularly beneficial for those who missed their practical assessments.

Guidelines from Secretary Bhagwati Singh

In his directive, UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has instructed all principals and District School Inspectors (DIOS) to ensure that the examinations are finalized by February 4. Additionally, the online submission of marks must also be completed within this timeframe. The Secretary has cautioned that the portal will close after February 4, 2026, and no further extensions will be permitted.

Steps for Students Who Missed the UP Board 12th Practical Exam
If you are a student of the UP Board Intermediate and have missed your practical exam, take the following actions immediately:
1. Contact your school: Notify your principal without delay.
2. Prepare your documents: Ensure your admit card and practical files are ready so you can reach the examination center as soon as you receive instructions.
3. Check portal updates: Confirm that your marks have been recorded on the online portal, as your result may be incomplete without these marks.

Intensified Preparation for UP Board Exam 2026
The extension of the UP Board Intermediate Practical Exam dates indicates the board's commitment to a strict policy this year, aiming for all internal assessments to be completed efficiently before the written exams commence. The UP Board plans to announce results promptly this year, making the timely compilation of practical data essential.
