India Post Recruitment for 10th Pass Candidates: Find Out When You Can Apply!

This recruitment under the India Post will be conducted across different postal circles in the country. A total of 28,740 candidates will be appointed. Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made to various posts in India Post Office. These include Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). The salary for each post has been fixed differently, ensuring candidates receive a good salary.

According to the information released by the Postal Department, online registration will begin on January 1, 2026. The last date for registration is February 14, 2026. The last date for submitting the form is February 16, 2026, and the last date for submitting the application fee is February 16, 2026. The correction window for the form is from February 18 to 19, 2026, and the first merit list (tentative) will be released on February 28, 2026. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance without waiting for the last date.

What is the salary?

The salary scale varies depending on the post. For example, the salary for Branch Postmaster (BPM) can range from ₹12,000 to ₹29,380 per month. The salary for ABPM/Dak Sevak can range from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month. This salary is considered quite attractive for young people working in rural areas.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Candidates applying for this recruitment must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Passing in Mathematics and English is mandatory. Knowledge of the local language of the postal circle for which the application is being submitted is required. The candidate should have basic computer knowledge.  The ability to ride a bicycle is also necessary.
