The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has commenced its board examinations. Today is the second day of the exams. Hundreds of students have been absent from the exams over the past two days. Dozens of students were denied the opportunity to take the exam simply because they arrived late at the examination center. At several centers, students were seen crying after missing their exams. This has caused distress not only to the students but also to their parents, who are worried that their children's academic year will be wasted.
Absent students will have a chance to appear in a special examination.
For the information of students who missed the board exams, there is still another opportunity to participate in the board examinations. After the board results are declared, the BSEB conducts a special examination for such students. Applications for these special examinations are accepted in April. Students who missed their exams can apply for the special examination, retake the exam in that subject, and pass, thus saving their academic year.
Board examinations will be completed on these dates
The Bihar Board exams are scheduled to be held from February 2nd to February 13th. The board examinations are conducted in two shifts. Students are given 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete the question paper. The first shift exam is held from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, while the second shift exams are held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
How many students are participating in the board examinations?
According to the details shared by the Bihar Board, 13,17,846 students registered for the Intermediate annual board examinations. To ensure the smooth conduct of the Intermediate board exams, 1762 examination centers were set up across the state.
