Aaron George shone for the India with a blistering century in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup semi-final clash against Afghanistan on Wednesday.

The match at Harare Sports Club, Harare, saw India chase down a target of 311 in just 41.1. overs.

George led the way with a knock of 115 from 104 balls as India claimed a seven-wicket win.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a rapid 33-ball 68 as India were off to a flier against the Afghans.

Alongside George, Suryavanshi added 90 runs inside 10 overs before perishing.

Thereafter, Ayush Mhatre arrived at the crease and was part of a 114-run stand with George.

India were 204/2 when Mhatre departed for 62.

George then added 94 runs alongside Vihaan Malhotra before perishing.

George's knock of 115 from 104 balls was laced with 15 fours and two sixes. He owned a strike rate of 110.58.

In the ongoing U19 World Cup, George has now raced to 161 runs from four matches at an average of 40.25 (100s: 1).

As per ESPNcricinfo, he is now the 18th different batter to hit a century in this edition's U19 WC.
