In a swift move, King Charles is said to have dramatically ordered Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor out of his Royal Lodge home in the middle of the night after extraordinary new revelations emerged about the former prince. A source stated he "had to be removed from the public eye".

With each day, fresh scandals have emerged from last week's data dump of three million Jeffrey Epstein documents released by the Department of Justice. A royal source told the Daily Mail: "The sight of him plastered on the front pages out riding his horse or driving in his car past photographers in Windsor, amid the continued dripping poison of the Epstein files was just too much. He had to be removed from the public eye."

They added: "Charles said enough was enough and the message was conveyed to Andrew that it was time for him to head to Norfolk immediately."

Andrew will eventually move to Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in private accommodation funded for by King Charles. But until the rennovations are complete, he's moved into Wood Farm, also on the Norfolk estate.

The rushed move follows the publication of an email on Monday night, released in the latest batch of the Epstein files, where Andrew appeared to say to Epstein he wanted to be his "pet".

Thames Valley Police says it is assessing allegations that a second woman was sent to the UK by Jeffrey Epstein for a sexual encounter with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The encounter allegedly occurred at the former prince's residence, Royal Lodge, in 2010.

Andrew is yet to comment on the new allegations but has previously vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Andrew will now be based in Sandringham in the coming weeks before moving permanently next door to Marsh Farm by the start of April, upon completion of renovations.

The source added now Andrew was away from public gaze. They said: "Questions were being asked in royal circles along the lines of 'what's he still doing here?' each time he appeared out riding.

"Someone less arrogant than Andrew would have read the room and kept his head down for a while, but that's not in his make-up, so something had to be done."

Andrew was last seen publicly on Monday afternoon when he was photographed riding on horseback close to Royal Lodge.

He was also seen last weekend horse riding and pictured on the grounds of Windsor with Princess Beatrice and her young daughter, Sienna.
