As the rumors have it, Apple appears to be working on its first foldable iPhone which is expected to launch later this year.
But now it has gone intense owing to an online leak that has revealed the likely design of Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
Launch Of First Apple Foldable iPhone
A Weibo leak has recently revealed the expected design of a foldable iPhone as per a latest report by MacRumors.
Moving ahead, the leaks indicate that the first foldable iPhone from Apple is said to feature a book-fold-like design same as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.
The volume button will be placed on the top edge aligned to the right same as the iPad mini as per the leaks.
Its touch ID power button and the Camera Control buttons will be located on the right edge, and the left side will be smooth as it will not house any buttons.
What To Expect In Apple Foldable iPhone?
The handset will have a front-facing camera featuring a single punch-hole design which means that the smartphone will house a smaller Dynamic Island.
Its rear will feature an iPhone Air-style plateau with two horizontally arranged cameras, microphone, and flash.
The plateau will be entirely black, regardless of the device’s body colour unlike the previous models.
The smartphone maker is planning to launch this foldable iPhone in white and one additional color, giving customers just two choices as per the leaks.
The iPhone Fold will unfold to reveal a 7.8-inch display, with a 5.3-inch cover screen for handling quick tasks without opening the device as mentioned by Jeff Pu (via 9to5Mac).
There is a twist as Apple is bringing back Touch ID instead of using Face ID marking a pretty significant shift for a flagship device, especially one breaking new ground.
The handset is packed with a dual 48MP sensor on the back and 18MP selfie cameras positioned on both screens, one for video calls when the phone is folded and another for the main display.
Apple is taking a different approach for the body as it is mixing titanium with aluminum, a different approach from the all-aluminum construction of the Pro models.
This foldable packs 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and runs on Apple’s new C2 modem.
