Harshit Rana Injury: Before the T20 World Cup 2026, the series of injuries to the players of Team India is not showing any sign of stopping. Now fast bowler Harshit Rana’s name has also been included in this list. This right-arm pacer suffered an injury during the warm-up match played against South Africa, after which he appeared to be in a lot of trouble.

The condition was such that it became difficult for him to even walk two steps properly. When pictures of Harshit Rana limping holding his knee surfaced in the warm-up match against South Africa, the Indian team’s worries increased further before the opening match against USA in the T20 World Cup 2026.

Increased concern about fitness

Despite criticism over his selection, Rana has cemented his place in the team over the last 12 months. If he remains fit, he can compete with Kuldeep Yadav for a place in the playing eleven. However, the biggest concern of the team management will be his fitness and if the injury is found to be serious, an official update on this may come out soon. Rana had conceded 16 runs in his only over before limping off the field.

Washington Sundar already injured

India is already worried about the fitness of all-rounder Washington Sundar. Sundar was ruled out of the entire T20 series due to a rib injury in the first ODI against New Zealand last month. He has neither participated in any warm-up match for India nor for the Indian team. Now it remains to be seen whether India includes any other player in the team or waits for Sundar to be fit till the Super-8 matches.

Meanwhile, Tilak Verma is currently at BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, where his workload is being monitored. However, he has not been declared fully fit yet. Tilak Verma is undergoing recovery after undergoing testicular surgery last month and before the match against South Africa, he also played for India A against America.
