Gold-Silver Rate: Silver slipped as soon as the market opened, price fell by ₹ 27,884 in one stroke, gold price less than ₹ 1.5 lakh

Gold-Silver Price 5 Feb: A sharp fall in the prices of gold and silver was recorded on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) as soon as the market opened on Thursday, February 5, 2026. While initially there was a slight rise in gold and silver on the international commodity market COMEX, within a short time this rise turned into a big fall.

The price of gold on COMEX was $ 5,021.40 an ounce in the morning, which fell to $ 4,871.60 an ounce. At the same time, the rate of silver also fell from $ 88.965 per ounce in the morning to $ 75.385 per ounce.

Biggest fall in silver

Today maximum pressure was seen on silver prices. Silver had closed at Rs 2,70,549 per kg on MCX on Wednesday, but as soon as the market opened on Thursday, it started falling sharply. Shortly after the opening, the price of silver slipped by 9.46 percent to Rs 2,43,406 lakh per kg.

Gold prices also fell

Along with silver, there was a big fall in the prices of gold in the domestic and international markets, although this fall was less than that of silver. As soon as the market opened on MCX, a fall of more than 2% was seen in the gold rate. At around 9:30 am, gold was seen trading at Rs 1,51,230 per 10 grams with a decline of 1.19%. On Wednesday, gold on MCX closed at Rs 1,53,390 per 10 grams.

Gold prices in major cities

  • Delhi In India, the price of 24 carat gold was Rs 1,54,570 per 10 grams and the price of 22 carat gold was Rs 1,41,700 per 10 grams.
  • Mumbai In India, 24 carat gold reached Rs 1,54,420 per 10 grams, 22 carat gold reached Rs 1,41,550 per 10 grams and 18 carat gold reached Rs 1,15,820 per 10 grams.
  • Chennai In India, 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,56,220 per 10 grams, 22 carat gold at Rs 1,43,200 per 10 grams and 18 carat gold at Rs 1,22,500 per 10 grams.
  • Kolkata The price of 24 carat gold was Rs 1,54,420 per 10 grams.

Talking about silver, the price of one kilogram of silver in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai was around Rs 2,46,665, whereas in Chennai it is trading around Rs 2,60,000 per kilogram.
