Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh government has taken an important step in the interest of farmers. With the aim of making farming more advanced and easier, the state government is now going to connect farmers with modern agricultural machines. Under this initiative, machines like seeder, super seeder, happy seeder and smart seeder will now be made more accessible to farmers than before.

With changing times, the role of technology in farming is continuously increasing. Modern machines not only reduce labor but also improve production and quality. The objective of this government scheme is to modernize traditional farming and reduce the costs of farmers.

40 to 50 percent subsidy will be available

The subsidy given by the government will be decided on the basis of the price of the machine. Generally, farmers will get the benefit of 40 to 50 percent subsidy. For example, the price of Happy Seeder machine ranges between Rs 2.60 lakh to Rs 2.85 lakh, on which a subsidy of up to Rs 1.05 lakh can be available. Similarly, subsidy will be given on Super Seeder and Smart Seeder in equal proportion. Farmers can get information about the estimated amount of assistance from the subsidy calculator available on the portal.

These farmers will get priority

Under the scheme, priority will be given to small, marginal and women farmers. The aim of the government is that even farmers with less resources can take advantage of modern technology and their farming can become more profitable. While applying online, farmers will have to submit a demand draft of Rs 4,500. This DD must be made from the farmer’s own bank account and must be in the name of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of the concerned district.

Documents required for application

While applying online, farmers will have to upload the following documents, such as Aadhaar Card, Mobile Number (for OTP verification), First Page of Bank Passbook, Copy of Khasra-Khatauni or B-1, Tractor RC (if the implement is tractor based), Demand Draft of Rs 4,500

Farmers will be selected through lottery

Farmers will be selected through lottery system. The selection results will be released on the respective portal only. For any kind of help or information, farmers can contact the Agriculture Department or Assistant Agricultural Engineer of their district. This scheme is being considered an important initiative towards technically strengthening agriculture in Madhya Pradesh, which will help in increasing the income of farmers and making agriculture profitable.
